Mrs. Laura Lamb – Principal

Welcome to Barkley Bridge Elementary! I am truly honored to serve as principal of a school filled with dedicated educators, supportive families, and the most incredible students. Barkley Bridge is a place where high expectations are balanced with compassion and care, and I feel blessed to be part of a team that puts children first in everything we do.

Before joining Hartselle City Schools, I served in both Decatur City and Morgan County Schools. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching second through fifth grades and working as a local reading specialist. These experiences have shaped my leadership and deepened my commitment to providing a learning environment where all students can thrive.

My educational background includes a B.S. in Accounting from Tennessee Technological University, a B.S. in Elementary Education from Athens State University, and a M.S. in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Outside of school, I’ve been happily married for 31 years. My husband and I are proud parents of two sons, both graduates of Auburn University with degrees in chemical engineering. We love spending time at Smith Lake and traveling to visit our boys in Florida and North Carolina whenever we can.

It’s a true privilege to lead Barkley Bridge Elementary—and I’m excited for all that lies ahead.
